Abstract

Abstract. The article examines the relationship between culture, education and selfawareness. The approaches of researchers to understanding culture and its role in the modern world are considered. Self-awareness is a tertiary cognitive process – metacognitive qualities and reflection, which determine oversituational settings, which creates the creation and implementation of an individual path of personality self-development. Psychological culture is a construct that enriches the spiritual side of a person, and is understood in this work as part of the general culture. An empirical study was carried out on a sample of third-year students N = 22. The study revealed the relationship of psychological
culture with reflection and metacognitive knowledge, as well as educational results (points) with metacognitive qualities. It is proved that makes the process personally significant. The growth of the quantitative results of education (marks) reflect the qualitative changes in the development of the personality. The relationship between culturesociety education and its influence on the self-consciousness of the individual as a subject of education is shown.
